Statement of Faith

Modern Mind, Ancient Book exists to help people know Jesus and learn to walk in His ways. My conviction is simple: we understand Him more clearly when we return to the Scriptures and the world of His first listeners.

Scripture comes first

The Bible is the foundation of our teaching. We study the Law, the Prophets, the Writings, and the apostolic witness together. We seek to understand each passage within its language, history, literary setting, and place in the larger biblical story.

“Chapter and verse” is our standard. Our interpretations must remain open to examination and correction.

Jesus is central

I believe Jesus is Israel’s Messiah, that He died and rose from the dead, and that He calls us into the Kingdom of God. His life, teaching, death, and resurrection stand at the center of this work.

Jesus lived and taught within Israel’s Jewish world. Learning that world helps us hear His words and understand the Scriptures He taught.

Faith becomes a way of life

Jesus calls people to trust Him, love God, love their neighbors, and keep His commandments. We seek a faith that shapes our character, choices, relationships, and treatment of others.

The goal is to live what we learn.

God’s covenants matter

God’s promises to Israel are essential to the biblical story. We seek to understand how people from the nations are welcomed through Jesus while honoring Israel’s place and the covenants Scripture describes.

We learn with humility

We welcome honest questions and careful research. Where the evidence is uncertain, we should say so. Conversations with guests help us listen and learn; their participation does not mean that we share every belief.

Our language courses and teaching resources are being built for free access. Voluntary support helps make that service possible.
